The Difference
There is a huge difference in picture quality between photos taken by an average point & shoot digital camera and a state of the art DSLR camera with wide angle lens and external lighting.
The comparison pictures below demonstrate this vast difference in quality. These photos were taken from the same spot for both cameras. A cheap point and shoot style digital camera normally uses a tiny built-in flash which does not cover the room evenly and casts awful hard shadows on objects in the room. Also, a P&S has more image noise (grain), less dynamic range (i.e. dark, featureless shadows and detail-less blown light areas), and generally less accurate colors. They also normally feature a relatively narrow lens that is incapable of capturing a wide view of the room. A pro DSLR camera with a wide angle lens and proper lighting techniques on the other hand allows us to capture the interior in its true spacious self, resulting in attractive, inviting pictures that will make buyers want to attend your open house.
